YEPPOON & THE BIG4 CAPRICORN PALMS HOLIDAY VILLAGE
Yeppoon is located only 40km from Rockhampton. It’s a thriving little seaside community and its the gateway for the Keppel Islands and the Southern Great Barrier Reef. A beautiful beachfront Esplanade with great facilities is right in the centre of town. There is a waterpark called the ‘Keppel Kraken’ and playground to keep the kids busy. And soon to be a lagoon with a huge upgrade to the foreshore facilities happening now. There is Pubs, cafes, shops and more. A perfect place to take a stroll and spend the day relaxing, grab a bite to eat and soak up some Queensland sun.
A short walk down from the esplanade, you will find Appleton Park which is a fully secure playground and bike track that the kids will be stoked with. The whole town has a family friendly, unhurried vibe that we really enjoy.
“Appleton Park is such a great playground for the kids! One of the best we have found.”
— TRIP IN A VAN
The BIG4 CAPRICORN PALMS HOLIDAY VILLAGE was where we chose to stay for our time in Yeppoon. With it’s great location and the amazing facilities, it was an easy choice when researching where we would park up for our time here. This caravan park is honestly one of the best maintained and landscaped parks that we have come across in our travels. The gardens and lawns are immaculate and the presentation of the whole park is second to none. Heaps of accommodation options as well with cabins, villas, camping and caravan sites.
It’s the Perfect place for a family holiday, with amazing kids facilities. A four storey high waterslide and pool, a huge playground and jumping pillow and pedal carts make this place a dream for the kids. There is also the best outdoor cinema we have ever seen in a caravan park, fully terraced and grassed with surround sound. Very Nice!!
THE FACILITIES HERE AT THE BIG4 CAPRICORN PALMS ARE TOP NOTCH!!!!!
Our time here in Yeppoon has been relaxing and enjoyable. A real family friendly destination that’s a great addition to your lap of the map. If you have more time to explore, definitely get out to Great Keppel Island for a look. Also, there is the Byfield National Park only just up the road, with some great beaches and campsites to explore there as well.
For us , we will continue south along the East Coast. Loving Qld and every place we stop.
Cheers – Justin & Bec.
