DARWIN FREE SPIRIT RESORT AND CARAVAN PARK

A great family friendly resort in Darwin that has everything you need for an amazing Top End stay.

The relaxed atmosphere and accomodation will be what keeps you coming back to stay whenever you visit Darwin! Spacious grassy sites, a jumping pillow, afternoon tunes by the pool and kids activities was what we loved the most! The Elements Poolside Bar and Bistro put on a great feed, and you can sip on a cocktail or a frosty schooner while you relax and watch the kids swim!

Free Spirit is a great place to base yourself and explore the wonders of Darwin. There is a myriad of activities around, from getting up close and personal to a crocodile, experiencing Mindil Beach Markets or heading to the Museum for waterparks for a day of fun.

Mindil Beach Markets were unlike other markets we have been to on our travels.. Plenty of food on offer, entertainment, live music, kids activities and a stunning sunset. Be sure to get there early and snag a carpark, it can get very busy.

The free water parks are a must at either Leanyer or Palmerston and the Esplanade has a brand new playground that is excellent for kids of all ages. Check out the opening times online as the big waterslides open later in the day if you are wanting to get a run on them!!

Darwin is one of our favourite places to visit, the dry season has a great atmosphere and the weather is perfect! We can’t wait to come back on our next lap around and explore the things we have missed. Who knows??? We may just end up living here…….
