MT BUNDY STATION
A working cattle station located 3km from the Adelaide River township in NT. It has some fantastic history and it’s great stop offering a range of accomodation from cottages to caravan and camping. The station is pet friendly and has an abundance of farming animals and wildlife.
On site are loads of water buffalo, a friendly bull called Nigel, plenty of wallabies and a Shetland pony.
If you’re keen for some adventure, its only a short drive into the Litchfield National Park or the Daly River tourist drive where you can witness some of the most amazing scenery in the NT.
You can do bush walks, swim under waterfalls and relax in rock pools. We checked out Robin falls while we stayed here and it was a beauty!!
Adelaide River itself has some great attractions as well. There is markets in the dry season, a railway museum and the war cemetery & memorials.
If you’re keen to relax this station has it all. From barista made coffee, pool, a new outback bar and seriously delicious pizza’s. The large grassy sites and super friendly staff are a winner plus this place allows campfires, so bring your wood, hit the walking trails and get in some good fishing!
What a peaceful place to visit, we had a top few days here in the heart of the Territory. Put Mount Bundy on your list of station stays when you hit the road!!
Cheers – Justin & Bec.
